The Romalello crime family is one of the "Two families" that dominate organized crime
activities within the United States as part of the Mafia (or Cosa Nostra).
Although the organization is formally dubbed as Romanello Crime Family,
the media has given the group the nickname, "Ivy League",
the family is unmatched in terms of power.
Since its creation,
the group has maintained a prominent influence over the Bronx borough of New York City,
as well as small areas of Brooklyn such as Red Hook.
The family also has a loosely ties with various established groups, such as the Gambino crime family.

With heavy involvement in various illicit activities,
the Romanello family has asserted itself as the most dominant crime organization in the United of power,
not size. Rivaling Gambino only with power, as Gambino dominates with size.
Finding new methods to make money, the group has evolved considerably over the years since its creatin -
and keeps evolving.

The "family" started as a street crew, then later into a mob family and so on.
The group was founded by Sebastian Romanello in 1989, thus named
after him.

Romanello maintained control of Bronx (known as the ´tale of New York´),
until the Romanello captain "Blackie", John Mangrella, who expanded its crew further in New York areas such as Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Alongside with another Romanello captain, Dominick Cefalu who expanded himself further to Queens.

The group appears to be the most organized family and remain powerful throughout New York City.
The group has always followed the code of Omertà, ensuring it's rules reimain a constant.
the family has only had one major member who turned state's evidence in its entire history.
